Notes for rare plant observation submissions
For both the rare plant survey form and iNaturalist, the most helpful pieces of information are estimates of population size and comments on habitat condition.
In iNaturalist, this information can be included in the observation notes or by using the Observation Fields feature in iNaturalist. When you join the iNaturalist project, select a Trust level you are comfortable with. iNaturalist obscures the location of sensitive taxa and trusting our project ensures we get the most precise data.
The rare plant survey form includes many optional fields for different observation types.
